Book Talk on "Design Justice: Community-Led Practices to Build the Worlds We Need"

What are the consequences of design? Who bears the costs, who gets the benefits, and how might these be distributed more equitably?

Sasha Costanza-Chock's new book, Design Justice: Community-Led Practices to Build the Worlds We Need, is rooted in the work of the Design Justice Network. The book re-imagines how design led by marginalized communities can become a tool to help dismantle structural inequality, advance collective liberation, and support ecological survival.

In this conversation, Sasha will share about her experience as a design researcher and a practitioner, and together we will explore how we might apply the principles of design justice to COVID-19 responses.

Please read the introduction of Design Justice beforehand in order to participate more fully in the conversation! The book intro is freely available at http://design-justice.pubpub.org. You can purchase physical or digital copies of the full book as well!
