Job transitions can be difficult for researchers when we get let go, but the COVID-19 pandemic is making the search for new work more difficult than ever. In response, Behzod Sirjani, a researcher who recently left Slack after several years and entirely by his own choice, launched researchersforhire.com to raise awareness about talented people who are looking for work - as well as help them prepare for interviews and find mentors. Over 400 people signed up within a couple of weeks and at least 1 has found new work!
