For our next node co-design session on Thursday, May 20, at 5:30 PM (sign-up here), we are embodying DJN principle 10 by leveraging an idea from our Vancouver DJN node neighbors to the north, and using our next meeting for a show and tell design justice virtual meet-up, discussing:
What specific tools or practices have you tried or heard of for applying justice and equity in design?
How would you like to seed ideas for incorporating the djn principles in the way you spend your time?
No pressure to share, though true to form, we honor everyone as an expert based on their own lived experience, and we all have unique and brilliant contributions to bring to a design process. We look forward to hearing your ideas and what you've been noodling on, as we consider how we might explore opportunities to advance activities as a community.
Can you believe our PNW (Seattle) node is already six months old? As we enter the summer months, we want to take a step back and check-in with you on what's important to you as members of this community. Whether or not you intend to join our next meeting, we invite you to provide feedback via this brief anonymous survey. Your feedback is requested by next Friday, May 21.
